Google Pixel 9 Pro renders reveal iPhone-like boxy design

In the fast-paced world of smartphone technology, Google continues to captivate users with its innovative designs and features. Just a few months after the release of the Pixel 8 series in November 2023, enthusiasts and tech aficionados are already buzzing with excitement over the potential unveiling of the Google Pixel 9 Pro. Leaked renders, courtesy of the reputable tipster On Leaks in collaboration with My Smart Price, suggest that the Pixel 9 Pro could bring a substantial overhaul to its design, paving the way for a fresh and sleek aesthetic.

Breaking away from the traditional curvy design seen in previous Pixel models, the Pixel 9 Pro is rumored to embrace a boxy design, drawing comparisons to the iconic iPhone. While these details are speculative and based on leaks, the credibility of the source adds a layer of anticipation for what might be in store for Google's flagship device.

One of the notable changes highlighted in the renders is the shift from a curved display to a flat one. The Pixel 9 Pro is expected to feature a slightly smaller 6.5-inch display with a punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera, presenting a departure from its predecessor, the Pixel 8 Pro. Thinner bezels on all sides of the display contribute to a more immersive visual experience.

The redesign extends to the side frame, which is anticipated to be flat, housing the 'Power Button' and 'Volume rockers' on the right side. The left side, on the other hand, appears minimalistic with only an antenna marking. The familiar USB Type-C port, speaker, and SIM card tray are expected to retain their positions at the bottom of the device.

In terms of dimensions, the Pixel 9 Pro is projected to be slimmer than its predecessor, measuring 162.7 x 76.6 x 8.5 mm. The back of the device showcases a significant change in the camera module. Unlike the horizontal camera module seen in the Pixel 8 series, the Pixel 9 Pro renders reveal a horizontal cylindrical camera module housing a triple camera setup. The camera sensors include a Periscope Telephoto sensor, a large sensor for variable aperture support, and a primary camera.

While these leaked renders provide a tantalizing glimpse into the potential design changes of the Google Pixel 9 Pro, it's important to note that Google typically unveils its Pixel devices in the second half of the year. As we eagerly await the official launch, these early insights offer a promising preview of what could be another groundbreaking addition to the Pixel lineup.
